If you haven’t turned in or mailed your ballot, now is the time to do it.
Campaign Update
I am not a traditional “politician.” I do not enjoy or get into the gamesmanship of politics and winning. I consider myself primarily as a policymaker – I am far more drawn to the impact of developing and implementing good policy. Running a campaign is not my favorite thing to do; however, there are aspects that I really enjoy. For example, I love meeting people. I like hearing their stories, understanding their needs, and ultimately looking for ways that I can help make their lives better.
- Walking the District: Thanks to many people’s support, our team was able to reach over 10,000 residences in our district! Each received a door hanger or flyer, and hundreds of them were engaged in conversation. That’s a remarkable accomplishment. In the process I went up and down virtually every street in our district.
- Literature: We have mailed several postcard messages to registered voters. The next one should hit mailboxes this week and will focus on my policy priorities for the economy and the importance of voting. I am including a gallery below for those that didn’t happen to see them.
- Campaign Video: I have published a new 3-minute video that highlights my experience, qualifications, record, and priorities. Please watch it and share the link on your social media and by email.
- Endorsements: I don’t generally seek out formal endorsements from groups or individuals, but I am happy to receive recognitions, statements, and donations as signs of support. If you want to see who supports me, you can see a list of individuals that have contributed to my campaign as well as statements of support provided by elected officials and neighbors.
- Town Hall: My last town hall before the election will be held on Thursday, Nov 3 from 7-8 p.m. Please register here to receive joining information.

Important Note: As I discussed in my most recent post, I am choosing to stay positive and not issue any attack ads or get drawn into the mudslinging.
My Priorities
As you can see from my campaign literature, I am focused on priorities that affect families and individuals in our district. For example, I know that the unfair increase in property taxes due to inflation has hit your budgets hard! We need to provide some relief as well as change the system to prevent a repeat in the future. I am also committed to fully repealing the double-taxation of Social Security benefits. Don’t let anyone else tell you what I think or what my priorities are; get it straight from me.
